As a Wellness coach I don’t just work on the physical.
I believe we are so much more than just a bunch of complex systems, some bones, covered with adipose tissue ( a fancy way of saying fat) layered with skin, and decoratively topped off with our pretty little heads.
Wow life would be easy if that was it, well easy but boring.
Good news is we are so much more than that..
Each of us are built with our own unique stories, filled with different emotions feelings and our own individual psychies.
Think about this, there are 7.125 billion people on the planet and no two people are built the same!!!!! Physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually !
Firstly a massive congratulations to you for being you!
This is where my curiosity comes in.
Please don’t get me wrong I love feeling good in the physical. Please don’t giggle!
Although my favourite place to play is the in-between bits.
I feel as a species we are taught to concentrate mainly on the physical. We try to find the perfect diet, get the perfect body, be the perfect weight and find the perfect nutritional system.
Perfect for who?
I am here to let you know you are not a willpower weakling if you are unable to live up to this sometimes unrealistic standard.
We so call “over-eat” or “fail “ the above not because we are weaklings but because we are physiologically driven to do so.
If we eat our meals under stress, too fast and receiving no pleasure at all our bodies will seek this out until we get it.
Eating this way also ultimately slows down our metabolism and leaves us fighting an uphill battle.
On a brighter note our metabolism isn’t wholey and solely when we are eating food.
I was super excited when I learnt this and that the metabolism isn’t in the body alone. It operates equally and simultaneously in body, mind, emotion and spirit.
What does this mean? It means that research has proven that what we think and feel effects the chemistry in our body.
Yes what you eat is important, although who YOU are as an eater is equally so.
This is fantastic as it means you can stop handing your power over to others in regards to your health and wellbeing.
Wellbeing starts with YOU and good health will naturally follow. Trust me when you feel good you will make the choices right for you.
Definition of well-being:
The state of being comfortable, healthy or happy.
You are in charge of all of the above.
So your challenge is to work out when you feel comfortable…….. spend time working out and doing things that make you feel happy!

BECAUSE IT IS GOOD FOR MY HEALTH”
Please don’t take this lightly as it is important and I believe the missing link. When you are happy you feel better and when you feel better you look better. Win win.
If you are thinking I will be happy when I lose weight or when I look a certain weight I am here to really challenge you on that. I have sat with a lot of amazing humans, when on reflection – when they where that weight, or close to, they did not realise how good they looked and they certainly did not feel the way they expected too ( come on think about it, we all have that photo that we look back on and think “Holy I was smoking” and we didn’t realise at the time).
So on that note lets not waste anymore time, the work really is get happy now and the rest falls in place.
