How did you get to where you are?

I wasn’t ever really interested in School, I wasn’t a bad student, but wanted to see the world rather than sit in a class room. I dropped out of college when I was 17 and started my overseas career, first in France for a holiday company, and then Greece, followed then by traveling, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and then Australia. In between Europe and Asia I spent 4 years with Toyota in the UK as PA to the Logistics’ Manager. My boss was my mentor and I believe if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am today. Over the years I’ve gone from PA to a team of men working for an energy company in Brisbane, to PA to the COO at Virgin Blue, to PA to Sir Richard Branson, Founder of the Virgin Group, to PA to Jackie O the radio and television host, to the role I’m in now which is based in the USA as Director of VIP Services for Seminole Gaming Hard Rock.

Do you have a “claim to fame?”

I guess my claim to fame is working for Sir Richard Branson, but I’ve gone on to create my own success and my own work achievements. I’ve been featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Ocean Drive Magazine and have done a number of other media interviews.

Favourite holiday?

Ulusaba South Africa, Sir Richard Bransons game reserve – with my mum.

What’s next for Samantha Cox?

In addition to creating a world class VIP experience for our guests, I’m looking forward to spending some family time with both my sisters and their boys in March in the UK and then maybe an adventure back to South Africa towards the end of the year with my boyfriend.
