I know you are not going to like this one. I know I didn’t. But its simple and it makes the world of difference. In fact, it changed my life (seriously).
GET UP ONE HOUR EARLIER.
If you don’t like getting up in the morning, the truth of the matter is, it doesn’t matter what time you get up, 6am, 7am, 8am… you always feel terrible. The hardest part is taking the doona off.
I promise you that at 6.10, you feel exactly the same as you would at 7.10am…. except BETTER.. because you have not rushing around, yelling at everyone and stressing out about getting out the door in time.
By getting up earlier (and before the needier children), I have a few minutes peace, and I feel totally in control of the morning.
There is so much less stress and yelling, and is generally a much more pleasant experience.
