OK… so you might be dragging your own butt out of bed earlier (see Tip 4 here).. but what about the kids?
On one hand I want them to stay in bed as long as possible so I can enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning and be more efficient. On the other hand, when it is time to get up, I want them out of bed and into action.
If your kids struggle to get out of bed in the morning, hopefully you have learnt this trick…
WAKE YOUR KIDS UP 15 MINS BEFORE THEY NEED TO GET OUT OF BED.
I wake Zach at 7am… pop in and rewake him and open curtains at 7.05am.. and then finally just before 7.15am I am able to nudge him out of bed (most of the time). I’m imagining if my children were teenagers, I might have to adjust this to 20-25 mins before they need to get out of bed…true?
