Body by Bex – Exercise routine and mental health

Exercise routine and mental health….. How important is it really?
I’ve just arrived back to the UK for a 3 week holiday to see family and friends after not being back for 2 years. It’s overwhelming how amazing it is to see my children connect so amazingly with their cousins even when they live worlds apart and rarely see each other.
Most of my time has been spent catching up with my mum, sisters and my three nephews, seeing friends and managing my kids, as a single parent (hubby stayed back in oz) and still trying to squeeze in some sort of exercise!
After a very long 24hr flight, kids that slept on and off, sickness and diarrhoea thrown into the mix (and no rest for myself), I was straight back into things on arrival to the UK. I’m not afraid to say that without my regular exercise I’m feeling more exhausted, stressed and anxious than normal and really miss my exercise routine.
I preach to anyone that likes to listen how important exercise and fitness is to mental health. It really does help with staying happy & positive on a day to day basis. My time in the UK has really driven this point home to me.
So even if it’s a walk in the fresh air, a run, Bootcamp or hardcore PT session – it can be a day changer!
