FLAT Shoes for FLAT OUT Women

After years of wearing heels everyday, I’ve had to come down to earth…literally. While it feels glamorous & edgy to wear heels, I do know it’s not practical to wear them when running around with kids/work/sport. And although I really hate to admit it…my feet hurt too much in heels.

So, I’ve found a new love with flats. ️ This season there are so many new and revamped styles to try in different textures. Shoes can make or break your outfit, so here a few ideas and tips on how to wear this seasons flats.

sport luxed
Sporty Luxe Shoes
The soles of these shoes usually have a rubber non-slip base perfect for glamming up our sporty outfits.
Try these with:
– skinny jeans or ‘boyfriend’ jeans
– sporty luxe outfits & anorak jackets
– elastic waist or relaxed pants
– ‘all black’ outfits

These narrow toed styles are great for narrow feet and for elongating the legs.
Try these with:
– mid-length skirts
– pencil Skirts
– 7/8 pants
– skinny jeans

brogues
Brogues
These retro, dressy flats are available in lace-up or slip-on styles in black or neutral tones.
Try these with:
– trousers and pants with looser legs
– short A-Line skirts
– vintage looks
– jeans
– blazers or trench coats

lace ups

Lace-ups
My personal favourite:) Lace-ups are so feminine, edgy and work with so many outfits. They will continue to be a major trend for Spring/Summer 15.
Try these with:
– skirts in pencil and A-line styles
– simple outfits/outfits in one colour (to make a statement)
– jeans (rolled up)
– cropped pants or culottes

textured flats

Textured Ballet Flats
The good old favourite has been given a new life in colour and texture. Great for those wanting a more classic, stylish look and for those who desire pure comfort.
Try these with:
– all pants
– A-line skirts
– retro 50s dresses
– blazer, jeans and a tee

Because I walk soooo much, my favourite places for great leather flats are from Wittner, Country Road, Witchery, Wanted, ZU Shoes, David Jones & Myer.
