TEST KITCHEN: Giant Share Cookie with Ice-Cream and Salted Caramel Sauce

 

INGREDIENTS  

 

6T unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup (135g) brown sugar

1/4 cup 955g) castor sugar

1 egg

2 tsp vanilla essence

1 cup (150g) plain flour

1/8 tsp baking soda

1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder

1 1/2 ounces milk chocolate

1 1/2 ounces white chocolate

Vanilla ice-cream and store brought caramel sauce – or try my amazing SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE here (omg its amazing).

Mix it up with M&M’s as well as chocolate

 

 

METHOD

 

Preheat oven to 160 degrees.  Place the butter, both sugars, egg, vanilla, flour, baking soda and cocoa in a food processor or Thermomix and process until a dough forms (TM users, I used the Turbo button for 1-2 seconds at a time until formed).

 

Press the dough out onto a lined 10 inch round (It fit my pizza tray perfectly).

Scatter with chocolate and lightly press the pieces into the dough.

Bake for 15-20 mins or until firm to the touch.  Allow to cool slightly on the tray.

Serve warm with ice cream and caramel sauce.
